Hair Loss

Hair loss is a condition characterised by the excessive loss of hair, which can lead to baldness and may have psychological implications. Many things induce hair loss. We lose 50–100 hairs daily. Hair loss is normal, but excessive loss can lead to baldness.

Hair grows in three phases: growing, transitioning, and resting. After growing, the hair will relax and fall out. Healthy hair has a balanced amount of hair in the transition/resting phase and the growth phase. However, when the dynamic is interrupted or hair follicles are injured and scarred, the number of hairs newly entering the growth phase will diminish, causing severe hair loss and baldness.

Baldness is a skin disorder that can influence appearance, self-confidence, and psychological issues including melancholy, sleeplessness, and autism. Thus, hair loss should be addressed.
